Capita Financial Group (“Capita”) is committed to protecting your privacy. Set out below is an explanation of our obligations under UK legislation together with details about how we use information about visitors to this website (the “site”) and how that information is safeguarded. This information will be shared with the relevant business unit(s) within Capita Financial Group or its affiliated companies to the extent necessary to accommodate your request. Should you invest with us, we may share your personal information with the investment manager of the fund(s) in which you have invested.  We may also share your personal information with any person with legal, administrative or regulatory power over Capita (such as the Financial Services Authority, HM Revenue & Customs etc) and/or third parties which assist us in the provision of a service(s) to you and who are bound to treat such information as confidential. We may also contact you for feedback on the service you receive from us; by e-mail or telephone.  Should you wish to receive information about Capita products and services, which you think may be of interest to you, please notify us accordingly.  Otherwise, we will not communicate any such information to you.

How we store information
We store the information you provide about yourself in a secure database and take appropriate security measures to protect such information from unauthorised access. Public access to your information via the site is protected by a login using your unique user ID and password. You should ensure that these are kept securely and not disclosed to other people.

Your rights under the Data Protection Act 1998

Your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”).  The DPA requires that any data we hold about you will be processed fairly and lawfully.  It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive.  Where necessary, information we hold about you will be kept up-to-date to the extent possible, which may require you to provide us with additional information.  We will not hold data for longer than is necessary.

Transfer of information overseas
Your information may be shared with members of the Capita Group that are involved in carrying out functions related to the provision of administration services, including members that are located outside the EEA, in countries that do not have similar protections in place regarding the use and storage of personal information equivalent to those that apply within the EEA. We shall ensure that any such affiliated company has put in place proper security measures to ensure at least the same level of protection of the personal data as is required under UK Data Protection legislation.

In order to maintain the quality of our website, we may, from time to time, send your computer a "cookie".  These cookies are not used for tracking purposes, nor do they identify you to our server.  The cookies used are held in memory then dropped when you leave our website.
